Thus far has the Lord brought us… (1 Samuel 7:12)
The Church has been blessed greatly today, but we always remember our humble beginnings. In 1967, a group of believers gathered together for prayer and fellowship at the residence of (Late) Br. C.T John (Fellowship House, Kadavanthra, Kochi). This small group prayed earnestly for God’s guidance. Similarly, another group of believers was gathering at the residence of Pr. M.V. Thomas in Palarivattam, Kochi. Eventually, these two small groups joined together. The Spirit of the Lord worked wonders among them and many souls were added to the group. This small group started to grow at a fast pace and they eventually rented a house in order to accommodate everyone. This gathering became a formal Church on 31st January, 1982, which was initially a non-denominational Church led by Pr. M.V. Thomas.
Later, in 1984, this Church became affiliated with the Sharon Fellowship Church and Pr. M.D. Thomas was appointed to shepherd the church. In 1986, Sunday School and Youth Meetings (CEM) were started in the church. Over the years, the Church held its meetings in various rented houses as it did not own any property to build a place of worship. The believers kept praying for God’s guidance. In 1990, the Lord led the Church to purchase a piece of land beside the National Highway (NH 47 – Vyttila bypass) with the help of Dr. T.G. Koshy, former President of the Sharon Fellowship Church. Following this, the construction of the church building was commenced in this land and regular worship service started in this partially completed Church building from August 1995.
The Church’s strong passion to spread the gospel has led to the beginning of many outstation programs. In 1996, an evangelistic work was started in Panangad village, near Kochi. Evg. Jose was initially deputed there and after 3 years, a Church was established there, which still continues to function under the aegis of the Sharon Fellowship Church.
In order to equip able and dedicated people of God for evangelism and Church ministry, the Faith Bible Training Centre, a distant Auxiliary Theological program of Faith Theological Seminary, Adoor, was started in the Church in 2001. This training centre continues to function and offers a three-year G.Th. Degree program under Faith Theological Seminary.
In 2002, a weekly Bible Class for evangelization among children in the Bund area (a non-Christian area, west of Thykoodam, Kochi) was started.
A great burden for the educational need of the poor children in the Bund area filled the hearts of the members of the Church. As the Word of God was being imparted to these children, the Church decided to extend its hand for their financial benefit as well. With this motive in mind, educational aid for the poor children began to be collected and distributed every year since 2003.
In 2003, another village evangelization program began in Arookutty in the Alapuzha District. The gospel team of the Sharon Fellowship Church, Vyttila held regular house visits and open-air gospel meetings here. As a result, a Church was planted here in 2004 at the residence of Br. Antony and regular worship began to be held there.
In 2005, village evangelization was initiated in Ottamassery near Cherthala, where regular house visits were being conducted by the gospel team of the Sharon Fellowship Church, Vyttila. Now, a small Church has been planted there with a group of believers gathering there for prayer, fellowship, Bible study and worship. Pr. Lalu Paul co-ordinates the program in this area. Bible classes are also being held at the residences of the Church members with the objective of spreading Biblical truths to nominal Christians in the area.
We thank and praise our Almighty God for bringing us this far. We pray earnestly that our Lord Jesus Christ may continue to bestow and nurture in us hope, wisdom and faith, enabling us further to bring glory and honour to His name. What we are, is not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit. To work earnestly for the Lord’s Kingdom will remain our sincere motive till the very end. For this, we request your earnest prayers
We remember with gratitude the services of the several Pastors who have ministered at the Sharon Fellowship Church, Vyttila in the past years.

What we Beleive
Word of God
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit without error in the original manuscripts, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. II Timothy 3:16,17 and I peter 1:21
We believe that there is one living and true God eternally existing in three persons – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe that these are equal in divine perfection, and that each executed distinct but harmonious office in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.
God The Father
We Belive in God, the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We belive that he concerns himself mercifully in the affairs of main that he hears and answers prayer and that he saves from sin and death all that come to him through jesus christ. John 1:12,18 and Ephesians 1:3-6
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son and conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teaching. We believe in His substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, ascension to Heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to the earth.Luke 1:35; John 1:1,14,18; Romans 3:24-26 and I Chorinthians 15:50-55
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgement, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding helper, Comforter, teacher and guide. We believe in the baptism of the Holy spirit according to Acts 2:4. We also believe that speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that salvation is the gift of God and is received by personal faith in Jesus Christ whose blood was shed for the forgiveness of sins. We believe that our redemption has been accomplished by means of the grace of God and is not the result of human works. Ephesians 2:8,9, John 1:12 and Ephesians 2:5-6
We believe in the universal Church – a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the Church the primary task of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost world. We believe in the local Church, consisting of a body of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible profession of faith, and associated for worship, work and fellowship. Mathew 28:19, Acts 2:42-47, I Corinthians 11:23-32
